Jesus Never Changes

Live in a world that changes rapidly. Heb. 13:8, Rev. 1:1-20

I: Methods and Materials of Warfare Change Continually.
1. Planes, tanks, guns, ships, etc. become obsolete in a few months.
2. Methods of warfare now include the whole nation, there seems to be no definite battle line.
3. Men fight for control of air, sea, and land.
4. Our guns shoot around corners, bullets seek out their target and pursue it. Plains fly without men aboard, ships directed by light, bombs droned in total darkness, water bailed 50 miles away. War is swiftly changing.

II: Our Lives Have Been Changed in Home and Public.
1. Our homes have been changed until it affects our whole life.
2. Our fashions change.
3. Even our concept of moral standards have changed.
4. Our laws change from year to year.

III: Men Are Constantly Changing.
1. From the cradle to the grave man is in a constant change.
2. Poverty or riches will change men.
3. Persecution or praise will change him.
4. We change with our moods and ideas.

IV: Christ Never Changes.
1. The fashions of men may change but Jesus never.
2. The Mississippi River may change to a trickle, the Amazon and Nile run dry, but the river of life will be full.
3. The rocks, like Gebralter, will crumble and waste away, but Jesus never changes.
4. The sea shall cease to be, but Jesus never.
5. The sun, moon, and stars shall cease to shine, but the morning star shall rise with healing in his wings.
6. “The Heaven shall pass away with a great noise and elements shall melt with a fervent heat, the air and the works that are therein shall be burned up. The surest foundation upon which to build is the Rock of Ages.”
