The Battle for the Souls of Men

Ecclesiastes 8:8, John 19:17-18, and Jude 9

I: The Battle for Man’s Will:
1. Man must have a choice.
2. God set obedience as the test.
3. Satan approached man by selfish desires.
4. Man’s soul was in the balance.

II: The Battle of Babel and the Flood:
1. Man moved by Satan attempted the impossible.
2. God confused their tongues.
3. God called the whole universe to battle in the flood.
4. Satan fought hard for the life and soul of Moses.

III: There is no discharge in this battle.
1. Satan will never give up.
2. He is behind every device that will separate men from God.
3. Satan is behind every battle that rages for the souls of men.
4. Every wicked piece of literature, billboard, paper, conversation, or act.
5. Satan will use every conceivable means to prevent the Church from saving souls.

IV: The Battle of All Battles:
1. Before the Christ came.
2. At birth and through life.
3. The garden of Gethsemene.
4. On the cross of Calvary.
5. At the sealed grave.
6. Now against every foreward move of the Church.
