The Signals of God

“How do you know God guides your life?” Numbers 9:15-23
Signals are important to any organized force. Regardless how they are conveyed, they must be obeyed if they are successful. Napoleon’s defeat at Waterlee came about by a failure to heed the urgency of an order. (Alexander).

I: God’s Signal of His Presence:
1. “The angel of God which went before the camp.” Exodus 14:19.
2. The cloud present at the crossing of the Red Sea.
3. Present at Mt. Sinai.
4. When the Tabernacle was completed.

II: The Signals of God:
1. A cloud by day, fire by night.
2. When the cloud moved, they moved.
3. When the cloud stayed, they stayed.
4. Thus they moved thru unchartered ways.
5. If any chose to remain behind or go ahead, they were cut off from God’s people and protection.

III: “I am the way.” “I am the Light of the World.” John 8.
1. Spoken to a woman that was taken in sin and faced death just a few minutes previous.
2. “He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness.”
3. “Whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.” John 14.
4. “I am the way.” (The Holy Spirit: Our guide).
5. Who calls the signals in my life?
