What Is Your Idealogy, God or Mannon

Matthew 6:19-34, Psalm 115:1-9
Gods that have eyes but see not, ears but hear not. “Show me the Idol of Youth and I can tell you the future of a Nation.”

I: The American Idols:
1. Men of wealth and power.
2. The much married woman of Hollywood.
3. The Profession that will pay the most with the least amount of training.
4. “This has been the greatest year for Whiskey consumption in California.”

II: “Wake up!” Pittsburg Press. Jan. 16, 1961:
1. “America is at War, a war we are losing because we aren’t fighting.”
2. “We are under attack by godless Communism and godless Materalism on the home front.”
3. “It’s an idealogical War!” We are losing because we have no ideals to really move us.
4. “We move headless and headless without an ideology against an idealogical enemy.” (I die for Communism, what do you live for)?
5. “We judge ourselves by our ideals; others judge us by the way we live.”
6. “Millions who would never join the Communist Party make its advance invitable by the way they live.”
7. America needs to take a new look at the motive and ideals that move her.

III: People are known by what has 1st place in their lives.
1. “Seek ye 1st the Kingdom of God.”
2. “All these things.”
3. When a person puts God 1st he can have assurance that God will give him the best.
4. As long as God’s people put the Kingdom 1st, they have the greatest idealogy in the World.
