What Think Ye of Christ

Matthew 22:41-46

I: Pharisees and Scribes sought to insnare Jesus.
1. They weren’t concerned with Truth.
2. They were more concerned with Tradition & Self.
3. The question of tribute to Caesar.
4. The question of whose wife will she be in Heaven.
5. The greatest commandment.

II: Jesus asked them: “What think ye of Christ?”
1. Most people we meet have given some thought of Christ.
2. Is there a more important question today?
3. We ask this question about others.
4. It’s more important to know him than any other.
5. Not what you think of your petty traditions or hear say interpretations.
6. Not the many Churches and Denominations.

III: What Others Thought of Jesus:
His enemies thought:
a. “This man receiveth sinners.”
b. “He saved others, himself he couldn’t save.”
c. Pilate: “I find no fault in him.”
d. Pilates wife: “This just man.”
e. Judas: “I have betrayed innocent blood.”
