Phil. 3:17-19
We live in a world that seems to have lost the ability to feel shame.
Shame: “Painful feeling from a wrong or foolish act, disgrace.”
I: “Whose Glory is in Their Shame?” Phil. 3:19.
1. The world about us glory in things we ought to be ashamed of.
a. Hollywood glorifies Immorality.
b. The Political world.
c. The Churches shame of dead indifference.
2. Why does the man or woman of high standards fail to capture the public eye?
3. “Whose God is their belly?”
China, Russia, lean & hungry for their cause (China 18 million in 15 years).
4. “Who minded earthly things?”
a. Spiritual things given lip service 90% belong to a church.
b. Seventy-five percent to a skating party — 11 to a Christian banquet. Many to fish or play ball, five to a brotherhood meeting.
c. Spend more for alcohol than church.
5. “Whose end is destruction?”
“I saw the wicked spreading himself.”

1. Conversation — Walk and manner of life.
2. Study to show.
3. Consider what the world would be with no gospel.
4. Consider what the gospel has done for us.
