The Touch of Faith
“Go home yank, go home.” Mark 5:21-34; 6:1-6
I: The Unwanted Guest.
1. The people of Gadara sought him to depart.
2. They preferred pigs to making men whole.
3. They counted the cost and was not willing to buy.
II: “He Could There Do No Mighty Works.” 6:1-6
1. To them he was the Carpenters son.
2. He was an impostor pretending to do great things.
3. His healing ministry was shortened.
4. No great miracles could be performed because of their unbelief.
III: The Honored Guest.
1. “Much people gathered unto him.”
2. There was a Ruler with a sick girl.
3. There was a woman with a deadly disease.
4. Here he was the honored guest.
IV: The Touch of Faith.
1. “My little daughter lithe at the point of death; I pray thee come and lay thy hands on her.” Simple faith and heart-felt need brought a miracle to his home.
2. “If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.” Tired of physicians, flat broke, and growing worse, Jesus was a welcome guest. Exercised faith made her whole.
3. Behold I stand at the door and knock. Invite him in and see miracles in your life.
