There is a Lad Here
Soon after the death of John: On the North Side of Galilee near where Jordan intakes the Sea. “Come aside and rest a while.” John 6:1-14, Mark 6:31-34
I: The Crowds Presented a Problem!
1. A problem they couldn’t ignore.
2. One they could not walk away from.
3. Beyond their ability to meet!
4. Jesus confronted them with the need.
5. “Send them away!” Mark 6:37
6. It is often easier to send them away.
“Where there is no Oxen, the Crib is clean, but much increase is.” Prov. 14:4
II: “Give Ye Them to Eat” Mark 6:37
1. Use what you have. God will do the impossible after we do the possible.
2. Moses found a rod enough.
3. The Widows meal lasted when she fed Elijah.
4. A little is enough if it is all we have!
III: There is a lot Here.
1. Andrew found him.
2. Why had he failed to eat his lunch?
3. The Lad gave, the Disciples doubled.
“What are they among so many?”
IV: “Then Jesus Came.”
1. Set the crowd in order.
2. Ask the blessing.
3. Broke the bread.
4. Disciples passed it to the hungry.
5. All were satisfied.
6. Each Disciple had a basket full left over!
“I am the Bread of Life!”
