Things We Have Seen and Heard

I: We have Seen.
1. The Miracles of Christ.
2. The Life and Ministry of Christ.
3. We saw him put to death.
4. We saw him alive.
5. We have witnessed changed lives.

II: “And Heard.”
1. We heard him teach and preach.
2. We heard him say “I am the way.”
3. We heard him speak the raging storm to peace and the dead to life.
4. “As my Father hath sent me, even so send I to you.” Ye are my witnesses.

III: “We can’t Keep from Telling what We Have Seen and Heard.”
1. The threatening of the Sanhedrin will not stop us.
2. We must give witness in spite of danger.
3. They didn’t allow the opposition to hurt their witnessing.
How we Modern Christians need to take a lesson. How often opposition discourages us. How little it takes to stop our using Jesus’s name. Just how much opposition would it take to keep us from prayer meeting, etc…

IV: They went to Their Own: vs. 23
1. When the World threatens what better group to turn to?
2. The Church had a prayer meeting.
3. The prayer meeting has always been the source of the Churches power!
4. “When they had prayed.” vs. 31
a. The Glace was shaken.
b. They were filled with the Holy Spirit.
c. They were given courage.
d. They spoke with boldness.
e. They were united in the cause “1 heart and 1 soul.”
f. They shared what they had.
g. The Apostles were encouraged to preach.
5. They were not easily discouraged because the Church prayed, witnessed, and shared.
