God’s Hurry

Peter 2 3:, Corinthians 2 6:2, and Luke 15:20

One day could seem like a thousand years. A night by a loved ones dying bed, when great disaster strikes, like the storming of the enemy Beach, like an atom bomb destroying great cities. Like God watching 5,000 people die every hour, 3,000+ stand before God with no help.

I: Gods Hurry Revealed in Scripture:
1. Mary at the empty tomb. “Go quickly.” Matthew 28:7.
2. Peter when the angel released him from prison. “Arrise up quickly.” Acts
3. A sense of urgency drove the disciples.
4. Paul urged Timothy to be in a hurry to preach in season and out of season.

II: Sometimes we want God to hurry.
1. When trouble has come to our home.
2. Wen we are threatened with hunger or cold.
3. When sickness or death has come.
4. We may be slow to do his bidding yet cry out for haste when we need him.

III: Why does the Kings Business demand haste?
1. “Now is the accepted time.”
2. The Sunbeams will soon pass that age.
3. The G.A.’s will soon be too busy with their own problems.
4. The R.A.’s will meet us in Juvenile Court and point a finger at 2 yrs. of lost opportunity.
5. The lost about our church doors are the respoinsibility of every Christian.
