He was Moved with Compassion

Matthew 9:

I: A compassionate heart sent him to:
1. A manger as a baby.
2. To a life of sorrow and loneliness.
3. To a cross on Calvary and a grave that was not his.

II: He was moved by people.
1. The multitudes tugged at his heart.
2. When they were hungry.
3. When they were misled by sin.
4. When they were burdened by the sorrows of life.
5. He had compassion on them while he was nailed to the cross of shame.

III: He had compassion on individuals:
1. A widdow weaping over her sons dead body.
2. Martha and Mary weeping over a dead brother.
3. The impatient man by the pool.
4. The blind man that begged.
5. Wherever he met sickness and sorrow, he was moved to action.

IV: He had compassion on the Individual that sin had bound.
1. The man that met him filled with deamons.
2. The tax collectors.
3. The woman taken in adultery.
4. The woman at the well.
5. The man let thru the roof.
6. The man with the withered hand that set at the banquet.

V: Does our church follow His pattern?
1. Do we see the multitude that stumbles in sin and darkness?
2. Do we see the individual as Jesus would want us to see them?>
3. Are we moved to condemn or have compassion on them?
4. Are we willing to sacrifice to save?
5. Dare we launch out in a big program for the sake of lost men and women, boys and girls?
