Have Faith in God

Mark 9:14-29, Matthew 17:14-21, and Hebrews 11:1-6

I: Faith is essential to our daily living.
1. We must have faith in our selves.
2. We must have faith in others.
3. The business world would fail without faith.
4. The world would go mad without faith.

II: Our faith can be placed in the wrong things.
1. Often, faith in ourselves or others brings us to shame.
2. Faith in our business is often shaken.
3. Faith in the false ways to Heaven is fatal.

III: It is impossible to please God without Faith.
1. Without a living faith we become faithless.
2. When our faith is weak we are troubled by small winds of false doctrines.
3. A living faith will dare and die.
4. Faith in God keeps hope alive.

IV: The 11th of Hebrews tells of men and women of Faith.
1. These men and women believed that God was real.
2. They believed he punished sin and blest righteousness.
3. They dared to take God at his word.
4. They dared to die for what they believed.

V: Can we all have a strong faith?
1. If we are willing to pay the price.
2. Faith seeks the will of God.
3. Gods will is revealed in His word.
4. Faith dares to claim the promises of God.
5. Faith comes as we separate from known sin.
