No Room for Jesus

“The world that thought him out or a spear received him in a manger.” Luke 2:1-7
One of the things we all feel that we could and would have done that night long ago in Bethlehem is to have found room for the Christ child to be born.

I: “No room in the Inn.” Roman Empire, Greeks wisdom.

2. Those that had homes in Bethlehem had company and there was no room for Jesus.
3. They were more concerned about Taxes than they were about the Christ child.
4. There were guests that were more important than the expectant mother of Jesus.
5. Besides a party was planned and the birth of a baby would intefere.
6. While healthy men and women slept in warm bedsm abd little Jewish maid gave birth to her 1st born in a manger and wrapped him in a swaddling cloth.
To their eternal shame they failed to make room for Jesus.

II: No Room for Jesus.
1. The booze crowd and the gamblers have no room for him.
2. Places of amusement would be cramped out of business if they had to make room for him.
3. Our schools teach that man came from monkey but say nothing good & positive about him.
4. Our National Life has little room for him, Sunday is another day, Christmas is commercialized, Easter a parade.
5. Pleasure, company, business, taxes, etc. crowd him out of our hearts.
6. He was born in a manger and burried in another man’s tomb, yet he was the Creator of all things!

III: What is more important than making room for Jesus? Savior – Lord.
1. Your parents care for the Physical that will die and do nothing for the Spiritual that will never die.
2. You think your life is too crowded to make him room?
3. You can’t afford to finance his church or give it some of your time.
4. But: do you have room for him at the sick bed? Is he welcome in time of sorrow or time of need? Do you intend to make room for him in your coffin? Dare you stand before the judgment seat of God without him in your heart?

“But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I deny before my Father which is in Heaven.” Matthew 10:33.
“Wherever He enters, life is never the same.” Revelation 3:20.
