Missionary Minded

Isaiah 6:1-8
Every Christian must face this responsibility of being a missionary. The great comission was to every child of God. We may be a Jonah, a Lot, a Daniel, or a Paul, but we are Missionaries.

I: Hindering causes must be removed.
1. King Uzziah died after almost 50 yrs. of peaceful reigning.
2. Israels King died but God lived on.
3. The stable things of our life may have to be moved before we can see God.
4. Sometimes pain, sickness, and sorrow open our eyes to God in all his power and glory.
5. Sometimes God removed the apple of our eye that He may become the Saviour of our soul.

II: “I saw also the Lord.”
1. Isaiah saw the Lord high and lifted up.
2. The angels covered their face and their feet and cried, Holy, holy, holy.
3. Men are never the same after they see the Lord in his holiness.
4. Jacob was never the same after his vision.
5. Moses’ life was changed by the sight of the burning bush.
6. Paul’s life was changed after he saw the Lord.
7. Once you behold the lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the World, your life will never be the same.

III: “Woe is me.”
1. Isaiah saw his own sinful self.
2. Jacob built an altar and made a vow.
3. Moses pulled off his shoes.
4. Elijah covered his face with his mantle.
5. Peter fell before him and said, “depart from me for I am a sinful man O Lord.”

IV: “Out of the heart comes the issues of life.”
1. The heart must be purged.
2. The Angel took a coal from off the Altar and laid on Isaiah’s mouth.
3. After the cleansing Isaiah heard the call.
4. Then he said, “Here am I send me.”
