Out of the Grave Clothes

Ephesians 2:1-22
Dead in trepasses and sins – a graveyard.
You hath be quickened – changed the graveyard.

I: Sin is death to God.
1. The soul that sins it shall die.
2. In the day that ye eat thereof.
3. The wages of sin is death.
4. She that lives in pleasure is dead which she lives.
5. This is the 2nd death.

II: There are 2 deadening influences that cause this graveyard to be populated.
1. The prince of this world.
a. It has always been this sin.
b. He is like a roaring Lion.
c. He is a deceiver of the brethern.
d. He fans into flame, every foul thought or deed taht finds lodging in our lives.
2. The course of this world.
a. Continually pressing us into its mold.
b. The thoughts of the world.
c. The walk of the world.
d. The talk of the world, (no salt seasoning).
e. The very path it travels leads to Hell.

III: Out of the Grave Clothes:
1. Like passing from Winter to Spring, from a storm into a calm.
2. Jesus commanded them to remove the grave clothes from Lazarus.
3. They found the grave clothes of Jesus left in the Tomb.
4. We are to put on the Lord Jesus. To leave the old man dead and burried.

The shadow of the grave kills our influence and deadens the flowers that would bloom.
