Luke 15:11-32<\/p>\n<p><strong>I: Jesus Confronted With it:<\/strong><br \/>\n1. The self-righteous Scribes and Pharisees condemned him for association with sinners, but felt no need of healing for themselves. Luke 5:27-32<br \/>\n2. The prayer of the Pharisee. Luke 18:<br \/>\n3. The early Church &#8212; Peter and others.<\/p>\n<p><strong>II: Self-Satisfied People:<\/strong><br \/>\n1. The people who gave Jesus the most trouble were not sinners.<br \/>\n2. The most hopeless people were not Publicans and sinners.<br \/>\n3. The people that planned His crucifixion were not the outcast.<\/p>\n<p><strong>III: Self-righteous Older Brother:<\/strong><br \/>\n1. No concern when his brother left hoe.<br \/>\n2. He never spent an hour of agonizing prayer for his return.<br \/>\n3. He lost no sleep nor missed one&#8217;s hour of work over his lost brother.<br \/>\n4. Bad news of the Prodigal only made him feel more secure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IV: He Missed the Fellowship:<\/strong><br \/>\n1. No tears of joy for the returned.<br \/>\n2. No compassion moved in his heart.<br \/>\n3. Anger swept over his soul.<br \/>\n4. Envy left no room for reason.<br \/>\n5. He refused to fellowship.<br \/>\n6. He refused the banquet.<br \/>\n7. He refused the father&#8217;s forgiveness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The hopeless sinner or the useless Christian are those who feel no need for a doctor.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Earn that, hear lest, eyes that see not.
