Old in A Pinch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Cor. 2 6:1-10<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Some men are good soldiers on the parade ground, but break and run on the field of battle. Some people talk a good Christian life, but never seem to have what it takes to die daily for Christ. Too many men are 10 yrs. old in a pinch.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I: &#8220;Receive not the grace of God in vain.&#8221; (Continue in sin).<\/strong><br \/>\n1. The grace of God isn&#8217;t to be received like water into the Dead Sea.<!--more--><br \/>\na. The Jordan River has life until it enters the Dead Sea.<br \/>\nb. Water that has no out-let becomes stagnet.<br \/>\nc. God urges upon us the urgency of Spiritual exercise.<br \/>\n2. A lifeless Christian is a stumbling block to others.<br \/>\na. He becomes a burden to his church and often a source of trouble.<br \/>\nb. Others are often persuaded to follow his example.<br \/>\nc. Sinners see no difference in their life and his.<\/p>\n<p><strong>II: Proving ourselves under fire or in a pinch.<\/strong><br \/>\nThe world as well as the Church expects a true soldier of God to stand in the hour of trial.<br \/>\n1. Proving ourselves in the Physical: Patience, afflictions, necessities, distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, and in fastings.<br \/>\n2. Proving ourselves in the Mental: Pureness, knowledge, longsuffering, and kindness.<br \/>\n3. Proving ourselves in the Spiritual: By the Holy Ghost, love unfeigned, word of truth, and armour of righteousness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All these things will prove our Christian sincerity.
