A vacation is liberty from the same old coutine.<br \/>\n2. Definite Prohibitions:<br \/>\na. &#8220;Flee from idolotry.&#8221; <strong>vs. 14<\/strong>. Placing anything before God.<br \/>\nb. &#8220;I wouldn&#8217;t that ye should have fellowship with devils.&#8221; No sacrifice to Pagan Gods.<!--more--><br \/>\nc. The buying of meat that was a sacrifice to Heathen Gods.<br \/>\nd. All this that others might not stumble at our way of life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>II: A Vacation that will Glorify God:<\/strong><br \/>\n1. Means to make Spiritual Preparations.<br \/>\na. A family prayer and discussion.<br \/>\nb. Bibles and periodicals.<br \/>\nc. Don&#8217;t use Sunday completely for travel.<br \/>\nd. Have a daily time of prayer and Bible reading.<br \/>\n2. Don&#8217;t rob God&#8217;s Financial Plans!<br \/>\na. A vacation with money for bills due is bound to bring trouble.<br \/>\nb. We remember to make the capital payment.<br \/>\nc. Provisions are usually made for bills that are due.<br \/>\nd. Don&#8217;t take a vacation with God&#8217;s tithe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Lord&#8217;s business suffers every summer because 1 out of 3 use God&#8217;s money to take Vacation, etc.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>3. Secure your position.<br \/>\na. We make provisions for the dog, cat, bird, fish, lawn, milk man, paper man, etc.<br \/>\nb. Better than 50% make no provisions for the job God holds them responsible for.<br \/>\nc. A class without a teacher, a training Union without a program, a W.M.U or Brotherhood without leaders doesn&#8217;t glorify God.<br \/>\nd. Remember that God&#8217;s work is never on vacation and the Church shouldn&#8217;t close her doors in summer. (Delano churches with no night services, and many churches dismiss prayer night).<\/p>\n<p><strong>III: But Not Without God:<\/strong><br \/>\n1. Jonah took a vacation without God.<br \/>\n2. Lot took a vacation from God.<br \/>\n3. Abraham traveled much, but always pitched his tent and built an Altar.<br \/>\n4. Summer is a good time to find God and a good time to make Him known to others. We dare not go without Him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Come ye yourselves apart unto a desert place, and rest a while.&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>I went to be a better Christian after vacation.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>I went to have helped someone else to know Him better.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Isaiah 40:28-31, Mark 6:31, and Matthew 5:13-16 I: Liberty has its restrictions. 1.
