Isaiah 5:, John 15:, and Matthew 21:18-21<\/strong><\/p>\n

I: The Opportunities of this Vineyard:<\/strong>
\n1. “A very fruitful hill.”
\n2. “He fences it.” (Protection).
\n3. “And gathered out the stones.”
\n4. “Planted it with the choicest vine.”
\n5. “Built a tower in the midst of it.”
\n6. “Made a vine press therein.”
\n7. What more could He have done? How near does our life compare with this Vineyard?<\/p>\n

II: “He looked that it should bring forth grapes.”<\/strong>
\n1. He had every right to accept fruit. (Expectations)
\n2. He expected good fruit and not wild bitter grapes.
\n3. Where grace doesn’t work, corruption will.
\n4. How much like the vineyard when we produce grapes of malice, envy, unfairness, contencious, cursings, malice, envy, unfairness, cheating, lying, etc.?
\n5. It’s a dangerous thing to dishonor the Gospel when it has brought honor to you.<\/p>\n

III: The Doom of a Fruitless Vine:<\/strong>
\n1. “I will take away the hedge.”
\n2. “Break down the wall.”
\n3. “I will lay it waste.”
\n4. “It shall not be pruned nor digged.”
\n5. “There shall come up briars and thorns.”
\n6. There shall no more rain fall upon it.
\nGod won’t allow us to continue or refuse to bare fruit, but some day removes our blessings.<\/p>\n

IV: “If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a brance and is withered.”<\/strong>
\n1. Jesus cursed the Fig Tree because it made a shew of bearing fruit and bore none.
\n2. He demanded fruit of the early Church.
\n3. He pruned the branches that lay dormant.
\n4. Failure to pay rent.
\n5. He cut off those that were dead.
\n6. Prayer depended upon abiding in him.<\/p>\n

“Be thou a blessing.”<\/strong>
\nEvery tree is known by its fruit.<\/strong>
\n“Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself. Their heart is divided.” Hosea 10:1-2.<\/strong>
\n“I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed; how then art thou into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me?” Jeremiah 2:21.<\/strong>
\n“The Kingdom of God shall be taken from you and be given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.” Matthew 21:43.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
