Matthew 5:13-16, Mark 6:31, & Isaiah 40:28-31<\/strong><\/p>\n

I: Liberty Has Its Restrictions.
\n<\/strong>1. A vacation is liberty from the same old routine.
\n2. Definite Prohibitions:
\na. <\/strong>“Flee from idolatry.” verse 14. <\/strong>Placing anything before God.
\nb. <\/strong>“I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.” No sacrifice to pagan gods.
\nc. <\/strong>The buying of meat that was a sacrifice to heathen gods.
\nd. <\/strong>All this that others might not stumble at our way of life.<\/p>\n

II: A Vacation That Will Glorify God.
\n<\/strong>1. Means to make spiritual preparations:
\na. <\/strong>A family prayer and discussion.
\nb. <\/strong>Bibles and periodicals.
\nc. <\/strong>Don’t use Sunday completely for travel.
\nd. <\/strong>Have a daily time of prayer and bible reading.
\n2. Don’t rob god. Financial plans:
\n\u00a0 a. <\/strong>A vacation with money for bills due is bound to bring trouble.
\nb. <\/strong>We remember to make the cap payment.
\nc. <\/strong>Provisions are usually made for bills that are due.
\nd. <\/strong>Don’t take a vacation with God’s tithe.
\nThe Lord’s business <\/strong>suffers every summer because one out of three use God’s money to take a vacation, etc…<\/strong>
\n3. Secure your position:
\na. <\/strong>We make provisions for the dog, cat, bird, fish, lawn, milk man, paper man, etc…
\nb. <\/strong>Better than 50% make no provisions for the job God holds them responsible for.
\nc. <\/strong>A class without a teacher, a Training Union without a program, a W.M.U. or Brotherhood without leaders does not glorify God. and the
\nd. <\/strong>“Remember that God’s work is never on sin.” Peter 2 2:14.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vacation and the church should not close her doors in summer.<\/strong> (Delano churches with no right services, and many churches dismiss prayer night<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

III: But Not Without God.
\n<\/strong>1. Jonah took a vacation without God.
\n2. Lot took a vacation from God.
\n3. Abraham traveled much but always pitched his tent and built an altar.
\n4. Summer is a good time to find God and a good time to make Him known to others. We\u00a0 dare not go without Him.<\/p>\n
