{"id":1855,"date":"2013-12-21T16:05:10","date_gmt":"2013-12-21T22:05:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.georgefindley.com\/?p=1855"},"modified":"2014-12-16T11:20:44","modified_gmt":"2014-12-16T17:20:44","slug":"lord-of-talent-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.georgefindley.com\/?p=1855","title":{"rendered":"Lord of Talent &#038; Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Matthew 25:24-30<br \/>\n&#8220;Each of us is about as lazy as circumstances will pursuit.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I: Three Parables:<br \/>\n<\/strong>1. <strong>Lord of the household<\/strong>: Servants responsibilities for harmony while He is away.<br \/>\n2. <strong>Lord of the Personal Life: <\/strong>Servant&#8217;s responsible for their personal lamps burning.<br \/>\n3. <strong>Lord of the merchandise of life:<\/strong> Servant, a steward of the Master&#8217;s gods.<\/p>\n<p><strong>II: &#8220;The Kingdom of Heaven is as A Man &#8230;&#8221;<br \/>\n<\/strong>1. In truth a King takes a journey.<br \/>\n2. His good must be cared for.<br \/>\n3. The logical ones are his own servants.<br \/>\n4. He gave them goods according to their ability.<br \/>\n5. Perch &#8211; Material to build his kingdom.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>III: A Long Time Passed:<br \/>\n<\/strong>1. The servant of five talents began to trade and make gain.<br \/>\n2. The servant with two talents did likewise.<br \/>\n3. The servant with one talent buried it and worked for himself.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IV: The Lord Returns.<br \/>\n<\/strong>1. The first met Him with joy.<br \/>\n2. The second with equal joy.<br \/>\n3. The third met Him with:<br \/>\n<strong>a. <\/strong>Excuses for his failure.<br \/>\n<strong>b. <\/strong>He insulted the master&#8217;s goodness.<br \/>\n<strong>c. <\/strong>He had been unwilling to practice self-denial, afraid to incur responsibility.<br \/>\n<strong>d. <\/strong>His own work and personal comfort had been more pressing.<br \/>\n<strong>The idle Christian is always in trouble.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>V: Lord of My Life:<br \/>\n<\/strong>1. Time cannot be stored up or bought back, hurried up nor slowed down.<br \/>\n<strong>a. <\/strong>Proper budgeting of time makes room for the Master&#8217;s church business.<br \/>\n<strong>b. <\/strong>&#8220;The noiseless foot of time steals swiftly by and are we dream of manhood age is nigh.&#8221;<br \/>\n2. Talent must be used, not buried.<br \/>\n3.
