An ancient custom of Pagan people. Egypt, Babylon, Cyrus, Clay tablets found in Assyria and Egypt tell of tithing, 3800 yrs. before Christ.<br \/>\n2. The Patriarchs:<br \/>\n<strong>a. <\/strong>Abraham tithed to Melchizedek (why)?<br \/>\n<strong>b. <\/strong>Jacob vowed to tithe when he felt lonely and in peril.<br \/>\n3. The tithe was just as binding as any part of the law.<\/p>\n<p><strong>III: When Israel Failed:<br \/>\n<\/strong>1. Every time the Isralites failed to tithe, God brought them to shame.<br \/>\n2. God called them robbers.<br \/>\n3. The devouree ruined their crops.<br \/>\n4. Their fruit fell before it was ripe.<br \/>\n5.
