Two Places of worship Dan and Bethel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> 786-746 BC. <strong>Jeroboam II<\/strong> and <strong>Uzziah<\/strong> 40 years of peace and prosperity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.<\/strong> The Nation&#8217;s became indifferent to spiritual and social obligations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5.<\/strong> The Man Amos: <strong>Amos 1:1 <\/strong>&#8220;Herdsman from T-koa&#8217; cultivated sycamores not the Son of a Prophet. A hayman with a special job to do.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>6.<\/strong> <strong>Preaching: 1:3-2:5 <\/strong>Condemned the neighboring nations. He finally came to their sins! (Now he is meddling)!<\/p>\n<p><strong>7.<\/strong> What were the sins of the Nation?<\/p>\n<p><strong>a.<\/strong> They hated the Preacher&#8217;s rebuke.<\/p>\n<p><strong>b.<\/strong> Oppressed the poor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>c.<\/strong> Mistreated the innocent &#8211; Bribery.<\/p>\n<p><strong>d.<\/strong> Withheld legal rights of the poor<\/p>\n<p><strong>8. <\/strong>The prudent kept silent. Avoided involvement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>9. <\/strong>&#8220;Preach love Preacher&#8221; Love is coupled with punishment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Nation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A nation&#8221; Carefree luxury in disregard for injustice, false security, complete lack of concern.
