In the light of the cross the resurrection makes more real the promises of God.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> I: Clothes May Not Make the Man, but they do affect him.<\/strong><br \/>\n1. Adam and Eve tried leaves, but God gave skins.<br \/>\n2. Joseph had a coat of many colors that made his brothers jealous.<br \/>\n3. John the Baptist was clothed in Camel&#8217;s hair.<br \/>\n4. Paul the Apostle urged that the old coat at Troas be brought to him before winter.<\/p>\n<p><strong> II: What did Jesus Wear the Easter Week Long Ago?<\/strong><br \/>\n1. He wore a towel in the upper room.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; line-height: 24px; font-size: 16px;\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> While others were puffed up he was humble.<\/li>\n<li> While others refused to serve he took a servants place.<\/li>\n<li> Their hearts were melted when they saw the towel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p>2. On his brow was drops of sweat like blood.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A burdened heart.<\/li>\n<li>A surrendered will. &#8220;Not my Will!&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3. Roman Shackles:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bound as a common Outlaw.<\/li>\n<li> Led like a lamb to the slaughter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>4. The Crown of Thrones.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pressed on him by wicked hands.<\/li>\n<li> A mockery to his claim.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>5. The Royal Robes.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Probably one of Herod&#8217;s.<\/li>\n<li>These were not his.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>6. Upon his back was the cross.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Not his but ours.<\/li>\n<li>Love nailed him there.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>7. He wore grave clothes.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 lbs. of spices.<\/li>\n<li>Grave clothes for the Prince of Life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>8.
