Peter was asleep when he should have been praying. (ease)<br \/>\n3. In haste, without consideration, he cut off a mans ear. (rashness)<br \/>\n4. Following afar off, close enough to see what was taking place.<br \/>\n5. Evil company, warming by the wrong fire.<br \/>\n6. Open denial, fear, shame, and disappointment.<br \/>\na. He denied knowing him to the little maid. (Peter have you forgotten)?<br \/>\nb. He denied the 2nd time. (Peter have you forgotten the mighty works he did)?<br \/>\n7. Blasphemy, bitten filthy, ungodly words fell from his lips.<\/p>\n<p><strong> II: The Rooster Crowed, God Called.<\/strong><br \/>\n1. His bitter stinging words put the rough soldiers to silence.<br \/>\n2. That silence was broken by the crowing of a rooster.<br \/>\n3. That clear morning call stung the conscience of Peter until it brought tears to his eyes and heaviness to his heart.<br \/>\n4. Then he saw Jesus.<br \/>\n5. Blinded with tears he stumbled into the darkness.<\/p>\n<p><strong> III: The Love of God Calls Again.<\/strong><br \/>\n1. Resurrection morning found Peter a man full of sorrow and bitter memory.<br \/>\n2. &#8220;Go tell the Disciples and Peter.&#8221;<br \/>\n3. Sunrise on the shores of Galilee.<br \/>\n4. For every denial Jesus wanted a pledge of love.
