John 5:39-47<\/strong><\/p>\n

The meaning of this name caused the Jews to seek the death of Jesus. vs. 18<\/strong><\/p>\n

I: What this Name Meant to One Man.<\/strong>
\n1. What Jesus did to that man and what he said about it cost him his life.
\n2. He saw a man, he knew, he acted.
\n3. “Take up thy bed and walk.
\n4. “The Jews sought more to kill him.” vs. 18<\/p>\n

The God is dead. People ignore the changed lives of people that have ignored the Healed man and met Jesus. Their Theology blinded them to God.<\/strong><\/p>\n

II: “My Father Worketh …”<\/strong>
\n1. Jesus said that God had not rested since man has been burdened with sin and its effect.
\n2. “And I work.” Jesus
\n3. Sin in the Human Race broke in upon Gods rest.<\/p>\n

III: “He Claimed Equality of God.” vs. 17 Proof, Scriptures, Miracles, and Voice of God.<\/strong>
\n1. “I and My Father are one.”
\n2. The Son can do nothing of himself.
\n3. Judgment was in his power.
\n4. Life and death were in his power.<\/p>\n

IV: The Close Kin of Pharisees and Some Modern Theology.<\/strong>
\n1. The Pharisee: Sought to kill him because he said he was the son of God. “God is dead.”
\na. “Thou hast a devil.”
\nb. “Then took they up stones to cast at him.”
\nc. “We know this man is a sinner.”
\n2. Modern Theologians: “He is just a good man. His name is just one of the Savior of the World.” “God is dead.”<\/p>\n

V: The Name of Jesus. vs. 39 The Search for Life!<\/strong>
\n1. “At the name of Jesus every knee.” Phil. 2:10
\n2. “Might have life thru His name.”
\n3. “Neither is there Salvation in any other, for there is none other name under Heaven given among man whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12.<\/p>\n

Even in the Scripture they failed to find life. I am the door and if any one might, they could not hear John, nor see the Mighty Miracles that Jesus did. “No Man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Many students of the Bible are Spiritually rich but Spiritually Poor.<\/strong><\/p>\n
