Phil 2:9-10<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Peter and John demonstrated faith, boldness, and conviction when the lame man was healed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> I: &#8220;Faith cometh by Hearing and Hearing by the Word of God.&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\n1. Faith is never strong or abiding until it&#8217;s founded upon the word of God.<br \/>\n2. The word of God must be planted in the heart and allowed to strengthen our faith.<br \/>\n3. Peter and John were students of the Master for many months.<br \/>\n4. They never grew a strong faith by staying away from prayer meeting (They were on their way to pray).<br \/>\n5. Peter could never have healed this man a year before. (Faith based on Gods promises and the power of the name Jesus).<\/p>\n<p><strong> II: Boldness was Manifested Before the Opposition.<\/strong><br \/>\n1. These two men were bold to do such a thing under the shadow of the temple.<br \/>\n2. They were not wise men of the world but they knew the word of God.<br \/>\n3. &#8220;They took knowledge of them that they had been with Jesus.&#8221;<br \/>\n4. Faith gives courage in the hour of need.<\/p>\n<p><strong> III: Conviction. Cor. 2 5:14<\/strong><br \/>\n1. We may change our opinions, but conviction will change us.<br \/>\n2. A man without convictions is like a door swinging on its bottom hinge.<br \/>\n3. Peter and John had a chance to compromise and take an easy way out.<br \/>\n4.
