Dr. Theodore Speers said on Aug. 11, 1946, at the Central Presbyterian Church: Much of the World&#8217;s Misery is caused by childish adults, self conscious, self-important, unwillingness to accept responsibility, always present to throw sand in the wheels of progress and growth. Lee&#8217;s description of Mediocrity &#8212; pg. 129)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> Mr. Woods-worth on Mediocrity in Religion: &#8220;Shallow streams of piety that flows on Sabbath Days a fresher course.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> Vance Harner: &#8220;Salvation has become a night cap instead of a helmet. We have those in our churches who have plenty of sentiment but no sacrifice; who sing lustily in the World all week, the kind of people who, when a piano is to be moved, escape by carrying the bench.<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong> I: Some of Gods Men that Dared be More than Average.<\/strong><br \/>\n1. The average of Noah&#8217;s day was to eat, drink, and be merry.<br \/>\n2. Abraham refused to live a life of ease and average.<br \/>\n3. Joseph rose above the envy of his brothers.<br \/>\n4. Moses refused to be average tho he herded sheep on a desert place.<br \/>\n5. David dared fight when others trebled.<br \/>\n6. Daniel dared pray while others compromised.<br \/>\n7. The early Church was blessed with men that refused to be stopped by Toil, Bloodshed, or Death.<\/p>\n<p><strong> II: Freedom to Worship Won by those Who Dared.<\/strong><br \/>\n1. Luther and thousands of others.<br \/>\n2. Livingston to Africa.<br \/>\n3. 1,200 Italian Ministers in WWII.<br \/>\n4. Ted Ramos, (O God what is going to happen to me)? (I know your Religion and I don&#8217;t want it).<\/p>\n<p><strong> III: Dare You.<\/strong><br \/>\n1. Be more than average?<br \/>\n2. Attempt great things for God.<br \/>\n3. Be big enough to not be little.<br \/>\n4.
