Standards of Good News

John 3:16, John 1 4:7-12

Books have known to start wars (Uncle Tom’s Cabin).
A few written words may mean peace or trouble (Declaration of Independence). “Take a long look child.”

I: “For God So Loved.”
1. “I have loved thee with an everlasting love.” Jeremiah 31:3.
2. The love of man:
a. Love those that love them.
b. A love for country and liberty.
c. Love for their loved ones (King of England).
3. The greatest lover:
a. Everlasting love.
b. Love stronger than death.
c. Love that loves the unlovely.
d. Love that triumphs in face of hatred.

II: He Loved the Whole World!
1. Every man that hears the invitation welcome.
2. “Why will ye die?”
3. “No pleasure in the death of the wicked.” Ezekiel 18:32.
4. “Whosoever will may come.”
5. “The bride and the spirit may come.”
6. “Let him that heareth.”

III: “He Gave.”
1. Gifts of men can never compare.
2. Men give to those they love.
3. Man died for country, friends, and family.
4. God gave His son for a world that rejected him.
5. He saved others, himself he could not save.
6. God saw man hopeless condition.

IV: “Everlasting Life.”
1. God is not an Indian giver.
2. God gave eternal life to an eternal soul.
3. Jesus came that they might have life.
4. “Who shall separate us from the love of God?” Romans 8:35.

John 3:16  tells of God’s love, and man’s need for that love.
