Every Member in His Place.

Cor. 12:1-31    The Healthy Body – (Homers)

I: There are Many Gifts, but the Same Spirit.
1. Not everyone is an administrator, (Manager).
2. No one can fill every place of operation (work).
3. Not everyone has wisdom, knowledge, faith, etc.
4. The Holy Spirit gives these gifts as he sees fit, and no man can grasp them for himself nor give them to others.
5. We have no right to choose the gift we want.

II: By 1 Spirit We are Baptized into 1 body.
1. The Church is to function as a perfect body.
2. We all came into the body the same way regardless of race, creed, or color.
3. The body is made up of many members:
a. The human body consists of many parts.
b. Every part is needful.

III: There is No Place for  Self-depreciation or Envy.
1. The foot cannot say, I’m not needed nor can it refuse to work because it was made the hand.
2. The car cannot refuse to listen or get mad because it was not placed in the body as an eye.
3. The whole body cannot be an eye or an ear.
4. God placed every member of the human body when he made Adam and Eve, and man has not been able to improve the body by transferring parts.

IV: There is No Room to Depreciate other Members. Respect is Better than Contempt.
1. We are fooling ourselves when we think we can do without parts God has placed and yet function as a whole.
2. The eye can’t say to the hand, I don’t need you. To look down on others isn’t so beautiful.
3. The head cannot say to the feet, I don’t need you.
4. The members we think we don’t need are needed.
5. If our hands, feet, eyes, and ears acted like some church members, we would wind up in the Hospital .

V: God has Tempered the Body Together.
1. Dare we believe that God wants every member of the Church in their place.
2. Do we dare allow him to place us?
3. Dare any of us to rebel against the body or refuse to take our part?
4. Any members that are separated from the body soon dies, (Some have said their hand hurts long after it was amputated).
5. How else can we find our place except thru prayer, the Spirit, and the vote of the body?

The Man led placed to lead this one is important.
