The Word became Flesh

John 1:1, 7:45-53

I: How Much is a Man’s Word Worth?
1. No more than the man himself.
2. A man is as good as his word.
3. “His word is his bond.” (Will Rogers)
4. Some Man’s words are like the morning dew, like clouds without water.
5. A man’s reputation affects his power with words.
6. “I give you my word.” ought to have the whole man behind it.
7. It’s real refreshing to hear men speak and match words with living.
8. A mealy-mouth, double tongued world needs men of their word to point the way to God!

II: “Never a Man Speak like this Man!” John 6:46
1. His words startled them in their attempts to arrest him.
2. They came to capture Him and were captured by Him.
3. Jesus is God’s final word to this world. Heb. 1:1-3
4. God has spoken through fire, flood, storms, rise and fall of Nations.
5. His most powerful word was and is thru Jesus.
6. There is no stronger way He could speak than thru the birth, life, death, and resurrection of his Son.
7. If a man turns a deaf ear to Jesus, there is no hope of reconciliation with God.
8. To ignore the word of the King is to be at War with him.
9. Man that refuses to accept His peace offering is already at war with God.

III: What did He Say?
1. “Accept a man to be born again.”
2. “He that hath the Son hath life.”
3.  “I am the door, light, bread, water,,, Shepherd.”
4.  “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden…”

Jesus has given his word on life and death. He has made his will known. How shall we escape if we neglect His words of life?
