My Brothers Keeper

Ezekiel 3:15-21
Down by the River Chebar, no songs, no hope, no joy.

I: “I have made thee a watchman.”
1. You are to warn of danger.
2. Yours is a toilsome office.
3. You must not fall asleep at your post.
4. No weather is to drive you from your post (lashed to the gun).
5. It is a dangerous office.
6. Men will curse you for strictness and God will curse you for looseness, (hault).

II: Your Duties shall be:
1. Take notice from Commander.
2. Give notice to the people.
3. Know what God has said about sin.
4. Warn the people of the danger of sin.
5. Be obsessed by what you know to be true.

III: Not Responsible for Success or Failure:
1. Responsible for giving the warning.
a. If you fail to warn, you are guilty of treason.
b. If they refuse to hear, you go free.
2. Saints and sinner need a watchman.
3. “Am I my brothers keeper?”

Thieves and robbers of the soul are ambition, price, fear, and self love.
